The Man Behind the Wood

Pop Pop's Story

Made for more.... A chance to be born again with a new purpose.... BELIEVE

Long before it was a business, it was just a man struggling to survive. Life after going through cancer treatment challenged his identity. Years of hard work stopped abruptly without his consent, and daily chores seemed to take all the strength he had. Pop Pop walked the trails of his farm timber searching for a reason to believe he was made for more — praying for guidance in this new season of life, finally finding peace beyond understanding.

He didn't set out to build furniture. He set out on a spiritual journey and found the eastern red cedar in the timber had such value and potential, Pop Pop found a personal connection with creating something new with what was once nearly lost.  He believed it was made for more, too.

"Every piece I build started as a tree in God's creation, came up from the ground, and due to circumstance, stopped growing, struggling just to survive."

How It's Made

The Craft

Pop Pop harvests each tree himself, mills it on the farm, peels the bark by hand, and shapes every joint with precise measurements, without shortcuts. There are no CNC machines, no assembly lines, no catalog parts. Just hand tools, God's inspiration, hard-earned knowledge, and a standard that doesn't change. If it leaves the farm with his name on it, it's built to last.

His Philosophy

What He Believes

The land comes first

Every tree harvested is part of God's creation. Pop Pop has a deep respect for the wilderness and all that lives there.

No two pieces are the same

Cedar doesn't grow in straight lines, and Pop Pop gives a renewed purpose for  each one he cuts. The natural curves and character of each log shape the final piece.

Built for the next generation

Every swing set, rocking chair, and structure is built to be handed down. That's not a marketing line — it was re-made for more than the forest floor.

"When somebody tells me their grandkids are swinging on something I built, enjoying moments like these — that's what matters most."
